Elizabeth Emanuel Harriet
Available in store only.
This early '90s wedding dress was made by Elizabeth Emanuel, who is famous, of course, for being the creator of one of the most iconic wedding dresses of our time: the gown worn by Princess Diana when she married Prince Charles. This is an extremely rare opportunity to own ****
The Harriet gown gets its lovely muted pink shade and velvety visual texture from Emanuel's layering of the fabric. The underlayer is a medium pink textured silk dupion, while the upper layer is ivory organza. The use of these fabrics together gives visual dimension, texture, and movement to the gown.
The bodice has a dropped Basque waist, soft modified V-neck, and off-shoulder sleeves. The skirt is full, and could be made even fuller through the use of a crinoline. Hand-rolled silk rosettes adorn the shoulder straps and back waist.
It's hard to imagine a more romantic choice for a wedding dress than this!
