Consign or sell

Thank you so much for considering selling to or consigning your couture vintage dress with us! We know that your wedding dress likely has great value to you. Our staff consists of textile experts, fashion historians, and a third-generation seamstress. We have deep familiarity with bridal fabrics and construction, as well as archival cleaning and restoration techniques. Your garment will be in capable and loving hands.

What we accept

We accept couture designer bridal attire that was produced between roughly 1950 and 2002, and is in excellent condition. This includes:

  • Garments from couture fashion designers like Christian Dior, Valentino, Givenchy, Nina Ricci haute, Lanvin, Jacques Heim, Loris Azzaro, Vivienne Westwood, and similar designers

  • Couture wedding dresses from the designers above, as well as designers like Vera Wang, Carolina Herrera, Monique Lhuillier, Catherine Rayner, and Oscar de la Renta

See below for what we do not accept. â€‹

To start the process, send an email to salesandconsignments@vionnettebridal.com with the following information:

  • a few pictures of your gown (we love receiving scans of original wedding pictures!)

  • the year and location of purchase

  • the general condition of the garment

  • any information about the garment’s background that you would like to share.

We aim to respond as quickly as we can, but due to an extremely high volume of emails, please allow 3 weeks for our reply.

What we do not accept

We do not accept unlabeled gowns.

We also do not accept gowns by Mori Lee, Demetrios, Bianchi, Priscilla of Boston, Jasmine, Allure, Alfred Angelo, Mary's, Maggie Sottero, Michelangelo, Casablanca, Moonlight, Eve of Milady, or David's Bridal (any designer). However, there are many other vintage bridal shops that accept these wedding dresses, and we encourage you to reach out to them! The market for vintage bridal gowns is strong, and you may even find success selling the garment yourself on a secondhand clothing website such as Stillwhite or Poshmark.
