General background & information
 
Hazel is a classic, elegant '90s A-line wedding dress with subtle details that help to keep the look soft and bridal. Sourced from the UK, Hazel has the sophisticated, strong corsetry that characterized couture wedding dresses during that decade, making it appropriate for someone who likes a highly structured bodice. The dress is made of a beautiful quality duchess silk satin. Hazel's strapless bodice has a straight neckline, an elongating Basque waistline, and functional lace-up back with an exposed center back. (A panel could easily be added if you require or prefer additional coverage, however.) The front of the bodice is sparsely adorned with glass crystals, which add visual texture and interest without being distracting. 
 
The A-line skirt falls softly from the waist at the front, without any gathering or pleats. This creates a clean and elegant line. The front of the skirt has an overlay of silk organza that is adorned with scattered crystals. The skirt is gathered at the side back seam, which provides the draping detail that was so common in British wedding dresses in the 1990s. The back of the skirt has a dramatic duchess silk satin train. 
 
Hazel came to us with its original tags. It is an elegant choice for a wedding dress that is as appropriate at a beach wedding as it is at an Italian vineyard or an Irish castle.
 
Size & measurements
 
Measurements must be used to assess whether a gown will fit you or can be altered to fit you. A gown can usually be made 2-3 sizes smaller without compromising the design, but can rarely be made more than approximately 1/2-1” larger without making major modifications. The exterior measurements of this dress are as follows:

It is approximately a modern size 6, although of course there is some flexibility in sizing because of the corset back.
