Miranda is an extremely dramatic dress that is simultaneously over-the-top and ethereal. It was an instant staff favorite! The underdress is a simple column dress constructed from lightweight silk crepe. The bodice is overlaid with delicate beaded French lace that extends to the natural waistline. 
 
What makes this dress special is the tulle skirt, which is made of layer after layer (after layer) of superfine tulle in a very soft pink shade. Despite its size, the dress is incredibly lightweight and easy to wear because tulle weighs next to nothing. In addition, the skirt is applied only at the sides and back of the dress, which provides significantly greater freedom of movement than if the layers extended all the way to the front. 
 
Miranda was sourced from the inventory of a British bridal shop that closed in the 1990s. It is unaltered and has never been worn by a bride.
