General background & information
 
This is an extremely special, bespoke gown designed and made for Andrea, the bride who wore it. Andrea worked in the fashion industry in New York and had many bridal industry connections, including bridal designers. When she got engaged, she feared that she would not be able to find something in her size that suited her taste, so she commissioned a custom wedding dress instead. This show-stopping, dramatic dress was the result. 
 
The Andrea gown is constructed from luxe duchess silk satin and features a softened Basque waist, pleated A-line skirt, scoop neckline with notched detail, and long sleeves. It is finished with a line of covered buttons down the back and a cathedral train.
 
The most beautiful feature of this gown is the delicate embroidery along the neckline and sleeves. This embroidery was worked entirely by hand, and it has a sweet motif of ribbon flowers accented with metallic thread. The embroidery also enhances the subtle turn-back cuff of the sleeve.
 
Couture vintage wedding dresses in this size are exceedingly rare, and we are thrilled to have this gown in our collection and be able to offer it to our curvy vintage-loving brides. Andrea is a treasure.

Measurements must be used to assess whether a gown will fit you or can be altered to fit you. The flat measurements of this vintage wedding dress are as follows:

This gown is approximately a modern size 26. 
 
Condition notes
 
We are known for the excellent condition of our vintage wedding dresses, but because they are vintage garments, they will invariable contain some indications of age. These are unavoidable. 
 
Andrea is in excellent vintage condition. Because the gown is on our shop floor and has been tried on, it may have some dust on the train, and there may be a loose bead or thread somewhere.
