General background & information
 
This is an extremely special, fully custom gown designed and made for the bride who wore it. The bride, Andrea, worked in the fashion industry in New York and had many bridal industry connections, including bridal designers. Fearing she would not be able to find something in her size that suited her taste, she commissioned a custom wedding dress instead. This showstopping, dramatic dress was the result. 
 
The Andrea gown is constructed from luxe duchess silk satin and features a softened Basque waist, pleated A-line skirt, scoop neckline with notched detail, and long sleeves. It is finished with a line of covered buttons down the back and a cathedral train. The most beautiful feature of this gown is the delicate embroidery along the neckline and sleeves. This embroidery was worked entirely by hand, and it has a sweet motif of ribbon flowers accented with metallic thread. The embroidery enhances the turn-back cuff of the sleeve.
