A wedding dress for the most committed maximalists? Your childhood dress dreams come to life? Whatever you'd like to call it, this statement ball gown, sourced from a shuttered British bridal shop, has everything: a highly structured, corseted bodice; beaded detailing along the neckline and waist; pickups in the skirt; adaptable straps that can be worn on the shoulder, off the shoulder, or not at all; and a dramatic train. It is constructed from a soft Champagne pink duchess silk satin.
 
We briefly had this dress in the shop window, but so many passers-by were stopping to take pictures of it and knock on our door to talk about it that we took it down to protect the privacy of our brides. As they say on TV, it is a showstopper. 
 
Size & measurements
 
Measurements must be used to assess whether a gown will fit you or can be altered to fit you. The flat measurements of this vintage wedding dress are as follows:

Hip - free
 
This gown is approximately a modern size 6-8, but is adaptable because the back is a functional corset. It has comfortably fit a model up to a size 10-12.
