General background & information
 
Imogen came to us with a small group of exquisite '90s wedding dresses from a British bridal shop that closed its doors long ago. All of the gowns were unique and unusual, and all were made with the highest-quality materials. Imogen is no exception! 
 
Imogen is a very classic dress with a twist: the lovely, warm rose gold shade. It has an off-shoulder neckline, and the long sleeves are finished with a pointed cuff and lines of pearl buttons. The bodice has a faux crossover in the front, which is finished at the side with a line of sweet pearl buttons. There is a true crossover panel along the back of the bodice, which serves the purpose of hiding the zipper and maintaining a clean, streamlined appearance from the back. It has hook-and-loop tape to keep it secure right along the edge of the pearl buttons at the side waist. Imogen has a soft Basque waistline with piped detailing.
 
The skirt is a soft A-line with no pleating or gathering to give it fullness. It falls gracefully from the waist. There is a chapel train, and the back waist is accented with soft pink rosettes.
 
Imogen is made of silk dupion, a textured and airy fabric that is structured but very lightweight to wear. 
 
Size & measurements
 
Measurements must be used to assess whether a gown will fit you or can be altered to fit you. A gown can usually be made 2-3 sizes smaller without compromising the design, but can rarely be made more than approximately 1/2-1” larger without making major modifications.
