A vintage wedding dress for the cape/hood lovers! Lorelai is a two-piece bridal ensemble sourced from the UK. The underdress is a strapless, ankle-length column gown. The main body of the dress is constructed from duchess silk satin, and the overlayer is a floaty, ethereal single layer of silk chiffon that floats beyond the hem. The bodice has a guipure lace overlay on the bust and guipure lace detailing on the back waist.
 
The hooded cape is a dramatic statement piece. Made of the same silk chiffon as the overlay on the dress, the cape is heavily gathered at the neckline to provide additional volume (and drama). Guipure lace was also used to embellish the neckline. The cape extends far beyond the dress itself, so it serves as the train (and makes an easy transition from ceremony to reception).
