General background & information
 
Once in a while, we find a dress that has lost its designer tag somewhere along the way, but is clearly a beautifully-made couture vintage gown. Vanessa is one of those wedding dresses. We couldn't pass up the chance to have this in the shop.
 
Vanessa has a '90s-meets-Bridgerton vibe with its empire waist, hand-beaded French lace bodice fabric, and heavily boned bodice. The shape and structure of the boning in the back bodice is reminiscent of Victorian-era whalebone corsets. The bodice is finished with a functional corset and hidden side zipper. 
 
Vanessa's skirt is constructed from corded Alencon-style lace, and is trimmed with a delicate eyelash edge. (The lace used in the skirt is the same lace used in the bodice, but without the hand-beaded embellishment.) It is an easy-to-wear column silhouette - and is quite long, too, so it would work for taller people.

Measurements must be used to assess whether a gown will fit you or can be altered to fit you. The flat measurements of this vintage wedding dress are as follows:

Waist - 28"
Hip - 38"
 
Vanessa is approximately a modern size 6-8.
 
Condition notes
 
We are known for the excellent condition of our vintage wedding dresses, but because they are vintage garments, they will invariable contain some indications of age. These are unavoidable. We make every effort to review each dress thoroughly and disclose every issue we can find. With that in mind, please review the following notes:
