General background & information

This 1996 Vera Wang wedding dress has a little bit of everything. Amy is sexy, flirty, modern, chic, and feminine. It is one of Vera's most iconic and instantly recognizable designs from the '90s. This gown was routinely featured in magazines during the era. Constructed from satin-faced silk organza, Amy features a jewel neckline, long mesh sleeves and mesh back, bow accents, and large-diameter covered buttons. The skirt is very full and bouncy. Vera's background in competitive figure skating is clearly evident in the design of this gown, especially the high neckline and mesh long sleeves and back. 

This design feels as fashion-forward today as it did when it debuted in the early 1990s. It's a chic, unexpected, playful option for a bride today.

Size & measurements

Because the fabric of the back of the gown is a stretch mesh and the hips are free, the  waist measurement must be used to determine the fit. The waist measurement is approximately 30", making it equivalent to a modern size 8-10.

Condition

Amy is in lovely condition overall. There is a small, light area of discoloration on the hem of the train on the right side.
