Background & general information
 
Cosette is an iconic and extremely rare 1996 Vera Wang wedding dress in stellar condition. This is one of the most well-preserved vintage wedding dresses we have ever seen. We believe this lovely vintage Vera Wang was never worn.
 
Cosette is constructed from satin-faced silk organza that is trimmed with duchess silk satin along the sleeves and hem. It has an off-shoulder neckline, dropped Basque waist, and full pleated skirt with soft bustle effect at the back waist. What makes Cosette so special is the line of sweet bows, constructed from duchess silk satin, that line the entire front of the dress.

Bust - 38"
Waist - 30"
Hip - Free
 
It is tagged a size 14, but is equivalent to a size 12 on our modern size chart. 
 
Alterations
 
As a general rule, a gown can be altered down approximately two sizes, but can rarely be made larger by more than 1/2” or so. We cannot make determinations about what your seamstress will be willing to undertake. Please consult your own seamstress before purchasing a gown.
