General information & background
 
If there is a single dress that can be called the most iconic 1990s wedding gown, this is it: the Vera Wang wedding dress featured in Estee Lauder's magazine ads for their Beautiful perfume. 
 
This dress - which we refer to as Jean, after the original owner - is classic, sweet, and dramatic. It is constructed from Vera's trademark duchess silk satin. (Note: There were two versions of this dress. One had a tulle skirt with a satin band, and one had a duchess satin skirt with a satin band. This is the full satin version.)
 
Jean has an off-shoulder bodice, dropped waist, and very full A-line/ball gown skirt. What makes this dress so special are Vera Wang's trademark rosette-centered bows, which accent the shoulders and back waist. They add so much personality to an otherwise simple gown! This is a dress to keep and pass on to someone you love in the future. 
 
It comes with some beautiful keepsakes from the lovely Jean herself, too.
