Vera was undeniably the "it girl" of bridal fashion when Kerry was created in 1999, dominating the market for luxury wedding dresses with her timeless creations. By then, her name had practically become synonymous with exquisite, dramatic bridal attire.

Vera's collections in the late 1990s featured luxe fabrics (typically duchess silk satin), unusual and highly technical styles of embroidery, and bold silhouettes. (The final two images show this dress on the runway in 1999.)

Kerry is one such wedding dress. Constructed from duchess silk satin, the bodice has a softened square neckline, wide-set straps, and a dropped waist. It is covered with dense yet delicate bead and glass embroidery.

The back of the bodice is more open and revealing than was common during the era, balancing Kerry's sweetness with a little sexiness.  It also brings a little modernity to this classic gown.

Kerry has a dramatic ball gown silhouette. The skirt is given its volume with box pleats, and is finished with a long train. Kerry is perfect for someone seeking a softer, more romantic alternative to the chic and pared-back looks that Vera was known for during the early and middle of the 1990s.
