Maddie, a mid-1990s Vera Wang wedding dress, is a classic for a reason. It is one of our most-requested vintage Veras. Maddie is made of Vera's signature silk double crepe, a buttery and luxe fabric that skims the body beautifully and feels great to wear. 
 
The front of the gown is very clean. It has subtle, nearly undetectable darts for bust shaping, and is otherwise visually uninterrupted, without any waist or princess seams. It has a face-framing boat neckline and long mesh sleeves with a narrow contrasting cuff and covered buttons.
 
The back of the dress is the scene-stealer, with a gorgeous, low cowl back that drips from the shoulders. The construction of the cowl back is genius, leaving no visible closures on the exterior of the gown. The back is further accented with a line of covered buttons that extends down the train. The absence of seams on the front or visible closures on the back makes this gown the ultimate effortless bridal look. 
 
We named this particular dress after our wonderful bride Maddie, who was the first Vionnette bride to wear this style.
