General background & information
 
One of our brides referred to Margaret as an "effortless" wedding dress, and we think that is a perfect description of this lovely vintage Vera Wang gown. Margaret is a strapless dress constructed from Vera's trademark ivory duchess silk satin. It has no defined waist seam, but instead falls in a gentle A-line shape. The wearer's body is given waist definition by ruching across the gown. The ruched detail culminates in wide sashes gathered at the side waist. 
 
We have shown Margaret here with a vintage lace mantilla. The veil is not included with the sale; we included it in order to show an example of how this versatile gown could be styled. It pairs just as well with a simple satin-trimmed veil as it does with an over-the-top mantilla like this one.

It is a split size. The waist size roughly corresponds to a modern size 16, while the bust corresponds to a modern size 12.
