General information & background
 
Robin is a delicate, elegant vintage Vera Wang column gown. The entire dress is covered in botanical embroidery that was carried out primarily in metal threads. From afar, the embroidery simply gives the dress visual texture; up close, you can appreciate the workmanship of the embroidery. Despite its simplicity, it is an eye-catching gown that captures the attention of everyone who passes it. 
 
Robin has a strapless neckline with a subtle V; minimal waist shaping; and a small train. It's minimalistic and chic, but the delicate and romantic details make it feel more than special enough to be a wedding dress. Robin is a shop favorite!
 
Size & measurements
 
Measurements must be used to assess whether a gown will fit you or can be altered to fit you. A gown can usually be made 2-3 sizes smaller without compromising the design, but can rarely be made more than approximately 1/2-1” larger without making major modifications. The exterior measurements of this vintage Vera Wang wedding dress are as follows:

Hip - 38"
 
Robin is approximately a modern size 8. 
 
Condition notes
 
Robin is in very good vintage condition, with wear commensurate with age and no significant flaws to note. There are two blue marks on the interior of the corset of the bodice; such marks are typically caused by ink or dye bleed from a tag. It is possible that there are missing threads or beads, but it is difficult or impossible to tell. Note that we recommend that this dress be stored draped over a hanger or lying flat, as we have done in the shop. Because the main fabric of the dress is not connected to the corset at the bottom (by design), we are concerned that continued use of the hanging straps will cause distortion in the corset.
