General background & information
 
Rosa dates from Vera Wang's 1992 collection, during the early years when Vera was still selling her dresses only from her Madison Avenue boutique, not distributing to other bridal shops. This very rare piece is one of Monet's favorite pieces in the store.
 
Rosa consists of two pieces: a duchess satin column dress with an off-shoulder neckline, princess seams for an impeccable fit, and covered buttons in an unusual decorative configuration along the back zipper. 
 
But Rosa is so much more than a simple column dress (striking though she is)! The second piece of the outfit is a very full overskirt. Constructed from silk organza, the overskirt is accented with the statement rosette-centered bow that would become one of Vera's most iconic decorative elements in the 90s. The skirt is beautifully made and features true couture finishes like hem weights. 
 
Rosa is a very special piece. 
 
Sizing & measurements
 
Measurements must be used to assess whether a gown will fit you or can be altered to fit you. A gown can usually be made 2-3 sizes smaller without compromising the design, but can rarely be made more than approximately 1/2-1” larger without making major modifications. The exterior measurements of this dress are as follows:
