General background & information
 
Vespera is a Vera Wang wedding dress from the Spring 1995 collection. The bodice is densely embellished, top to bottom, in row after row of tiny sequins. (The overall effect is much more matte in real life than it is in photos.) This fabric is extremely unusual, and while you might expect it to be too dense to wear, it still conforms well to the shape of the body. The bodice features wide-set straps, a high back, and an on-trend dropped waist. It closes with a simple invisible zipper so as not to disrupt the clean look of the bodice. 
 
We chose to accent Vespera with an ivory ribbon at the waist, in keeping with later Vera Wang styles, but the ribbon is optional (or it could be changed out for a ribbon of a different color or material).
 
The tulle skirt is, of course, a beautiful shade of medium blue! It has a swingy bubble hem and no train. 
 
Vespera has a less serious vibe than other Veras made during the same years. It's an unconventional choice for a wedding dress, or a surprising and fun option for a bridal event or reception.
 
Special note - We are not certain that the blue tulle skirt is original to the dress because although the original gown did have a tulle skirt, we can find no evidence of the skirt being blue. It's possible that it was a custom order, but it is also possible that the original skirt was changed out for a blue skirt at some point. As a result, the price point for this gown is lower than most of our vintage Veras.

Condition notes
 
We are known for the excellent condition of our vintage bridal attire. However, vintage gowns will always contain some imperfections that result from being worn and/or stored for decades. We make every effort to review each dress thoroughly and disclose every issue we can find. With that in mind, please review the following notes:
 
Vespera is in excellent condition; overall it appears as new from the exterior. Very minor sequin loss and sequin displacement along back zipper. (This displacement is not a flaw; rather, it is a product of the sewing process.) There is minor discoloration on the interior of bodice/shoulders from wear.
