This stunning brown dress clearly nods to the Propaganda gown from the previous season, F/W 2005-2006, which is widely considered to be one of the greatest pieces Vivienne Westwood made in her long career (see final image). At the time, Westwood herself considered the Propaganda gown to be the most important work she had ever created. 
 
With this dress, Westwood created a more playful and wearable version of the famous Propaganda dress, which was in keeping with the more casual, punk vibe of the S/S 2006 collection.
